Lord Dannatt Chair of the National Emergencies Trust is determined to raise millions to help people throughout the country affected by the coronavirus.
In an interview with Sky News he said:
“Many big charities are already struggling across the country, they need some more money to help their work on the ground, red cross and St John’s ambulance. We are trying to get the money out to where it is needed on the ground
We have a big issue with moving supplies around the country and distributing food to where it is needed. It’s the community that we are appealing - your money will be going very very quickly to support small charities up and down the country. Support those charities who are in real need at this precise moment in time - whatever you can do please give generously as your money will be really appreciated and really well used.”
