Clap For Our Carers
A well deserved round of applause for our brave NHS heroes!
“You will be a part of a moment in history.” I said to my little girl as we opened the front door. “Always be grateful, always say thank you.”
“Okay Mam” my little girl replied - with a look of what have you got me doing this time!”
When I stepped outside, nobody had started clapping yet, we are of course a nation naturally reserved, so with a slight pause of self consciousness I gave a great cheer and started to applaud. ‘Come on’ I said to my little girl, my wife joined in and we all cheered. I could hear my neighbours clapping and it felt quite emotional to see their faces again. Feint clapping could be heard from houses up the street, all applauding, all giving thanks to our NHS and carers.
A moment in time when we all came together and said ‘thank you’, an experience I will never forget.Gratitude is what led me to begin this website, being grateful for life with all of its challenges. I am grateful for all the support my wife has received on her recovery to health and I am grateful that we have an NHS that continues to fight so bravely.
