Look For The Rainbows!
Stay Home - Stay Safe
There is a spectrum of reasons why kids across the UK have been drawing rainbows and proudly displaying them in their windows at home.
To me, our little girl's rainbow represents hope, gratitude and a little wave to all that pass from our home. When I look out from our window I can see other children have done the same. It makes me smile to think of parents with their kids creating beautiful technicolor rainbows together. Hello from one home to another I think when I see them.
My friend said she thought they were to say hello and thank you to our posties and delivery drivers. I like that I thought, we have a lovely postie so cheerful and hardworking. Thank you to all our posties - and delivery men and women, I hope you see all our children's rainbows as you pass by.
I then read that the rainbow trail was for families or individuals to follow as they took their daily exercise around the block, or for key workers to see as they went to work. This made me smile too. I wondered what other reasons people may have for displaying the rainbows in their windows.
One reason I felt certain of, whether the rainbows were a message of hope, a hello to the postie or a trail to be followed, the rainbows were symbolic of us all standing together as one. We are all a unique colour on the spectrum and when we are drawn together what a beautiful rainbow we create.
